April Paper Pad Club Inspiration with Julee

Hello crafty friends! It's Julee here, sharing a little inspiration with this month's paper pad club selections. This month in addition to the ephemera add-on, you can also add the stamp of the month to your paper pad club subscription! This month's stamp set, Bloom with Happiness, has some lovely images perfect for coloring and I couldn't wait to ink them up!

So I had a little watercolor session painting this lovely floral cup image from the Bloom with Happiness set. I embossed it with black ink and clear embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Following that, I used Gansai Tambi watercolors to add color and then created some subtle paint splatters on the surrounding area. After allowing it to dry, I masked off the upper portion and the saucer and blended Distress Ink to provide a sense of grounding to the design.

First, I die-cut the image into a rectangle, and then I had some fun adding a couple of Sunshine & Petals PET tape stickers in the corner – I love how they coordinate with the paper pad! Foam tape gave it a nice lift, and then I matted it with another rectangle. The gorgeous papers are from this month's paper pad club, and they're just stunning! I used some skinny yellow pinstripe peel-offs to make a little border between the papers. 

For the sentiment panel, I got a little artsy and watercolored inside a masked-off circle. Once it was dry, I embossed the message, popped it up on foam, and added another sweet butterfly sticker. And for that touch of sparkle I had to add some enamel dots to finish things off!
