Quick & Easy DIY Gift Card Holder Tutorial
Looking for a fast and adorable way to dress up a gift card? This sweet little holder is the perfect solution for birthdays, holidays, or "just because" moments.
Measurements & Materials
Base Panel: 8.5 x 3.5” (You can get three of these from a single 8.5 x 11” sheet!).
Belly Band: Use the remaining 0.5” strip from your cardstock sheet.
Patterned Paper Layers: I used the Love & Kisses Paper Pad.
Front Flap: 3.25 x 2.25”.
Front Pocket: 3.25 x 1.75”.
Inside Flap: 3.25 x 2.25” (I recommend white cardstock for a clean look).
Inside Pocket: 3.25 x 3.75”.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Score & Fold: On the 8.5” side, score at 2.5”, flip the paper 180 degrees, and score at 2”. Fold both lines inward; the shorter side will become your pocket, resulting in a 4 x 3.5” card.
Directional Check: Be sure to choose your directional paper based on whether you want a top-opening or side-opening holder.
Assemble the Layers: Adhere your patterned paper layers to the front and inside, leaving the back of the card blank.
Create the Pocket: If you like, cut a thumb notch on the pocket panel using a circle punch or die Apply a thin line of glue to each of the two short sides of the pocket flap to secure it.
Add the Belly Band: Wrap your 0.5” strip around the card with a little "give" so the ends overlap. Secure the ends and trim away any excess. Remember to consider your belly band needing to slide off and on if you decide to place your ephemera where it extends beyond the edge of the card..

The Finishing Touches
I used the Valentine Critters ephemera to decorate the front flap of this card. The belly band features a sentiment cut with the Ultimate Sentiment Die Set and a few sparkling enamel dots for the perfect finishing touch.
Pro-Tip: You can wrap your belly band either vertically or horizontally depending on the look you want to achieve!
